Captain Benjamin Trachik, Ph.D.
CPT Trachik is a research psychologist (71F) in the United States Army. He is currently working with the Medical Research Directorate-West division of the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. Captain Trachik has held leadership positions in several research initiatives involving Veterans and Active Duty Soldiers. He has experience in the design, coordination, and implementation of large DOD funded research projects and conducted research with the goal of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of PTSD treatments. Captain Trachik is interested in research that will translate into actionable strategies with the goal of improving the readiness, performance, effectiveness, and well-being of soldiers. He is currently working with our lab on several projects investigating predictors of suicidal thoughts and behaviors in Active Duty Soldiers.
